bother

Bother, it's the morning again. The thing about mornings is they come so blastedly early in the day ;)

I've been at work for an hour and a half and I've already dealt with my share of calamity for the day. Hopefully the rest of the day will be calmer and I get to fence tonight.

This weekend, I don't have an event to go to or any firm plans. My parents *might* come up. I still might go see my friend Eric....but probably not since our schedules aren't meshing well. I'm probably going to the local fabric store with some friends and doing an impromptu stitch and b*tch b/c pennsic is so near. Plus they haven't been to fabric fix before and it's definitely an improvement over Jo-Ann's. I still need to figure out what to do about armor.

dr's visit and all

I got to leave work this morning to go to the doctor. yeah. After my exam, I was told I had to go do bloodwork (doctor decided to check out my thyroid etc). It would have been really nice to know that beforehand. I hate needles.

I've done it enough times in the last few years that I can predict my terror and work around it. (Oh this is the part where I get light-headed...okay here's the part where I calm down). I can detach my logical mind from the reaction, and the reaction is diminishing. I've actually gotten to the point where I'm a lot better than i used to be about it. It's a half an hour later now and I'm not traumatized. See? I'm doing good.

So I went to the lab attached to my doctor's office and got it over with. Then I coddled myself by eating something and having something to drink. I'm back at work now....gonna chil a bit longer for lunch and then back into the games.
