dr's visit and all

redfishieI got to leave work this morning to go to the doctor. yeah. After my exam, I was told I had to go do bloodwork (doctor decided to check out my thyroid etc). It would have been really nice to know that beforehand. I hate needles.
I've done it enough times in the last few years that I can predict my terror and work around it. (Oh this is the part where I get light-headed...okay here's the part where I calm down). I can detach my logical mind from the reaction, and the reaction is diminishing. I've actually gotten to the point where I'm a lot better than i used to be about it. It's a half an hour later now and I'm not traumatized. See? I'm doing good.
So I went to the lab attached to my doctor's office and got it over with. Then I coddled myself by eating something and having something to drink. I'm back at work now....gonna chil a bit longer for lunch and then back into the games.
