[Madrigal] A passing fancy
Jan. 22nd, 2008 12:00 pmI found myself in the odd position today of writing a letter to someone that was basically a "Greetings from Shadowfane!"
It put me in the mind of old 1950s and 40s color postcards with scenic pictures on the front, a montage of farm stands, items of note, some brief shots of a woman selling fruit in what was considered scantily clad clothing at the time but would now be considered passe.
Only this was of Shadowfane, so it instead--it became in my head, a montage of the Crimson gate, heroes of shadowfane, a death knight, woods, fae, and assorted monsters (not scantily clad, thankfully).
There might have also been some fruit.
...and now I really want to draw Shadowfane postcards. I'm not sure what use they would be but the concept amuses me.
