When I was a freshman in college, I bought a guitar off my friend Keith who was needed to sell it to raise money for a down payment on an apartment for the next year.  It was a beautiful guitar - a Charvel Flying Half-V Guitar with a whamm-ee bar.  I totally loved this guitar, though to be honest the fact I bought it off Keith was also an act of friendship too -- as I half expected he would buy it back off me when he got the funds together to do so.  That didn't happen, but I knew that was possibility when I bought it, and it didn't matter as i loved the guitar.

That was awhile ago though, and I find I don't play it. The truth is now is that I love the idea of this guitar and what it represented to me at the time.  Honestly, I don't play very well, and nowadays I never pick it up to fiddle around - I can't remember the last time I played it; In fact I feel somewhat guilty about that - as I think that a guitar like this should belong to someone who will play and love it, not just love it in theory. It makes me sad now to look at it, remembering how much I used to love it. I think it should be with someone who will play it.

Add onto all of this, that I could use some extra money, and thus you can see why I'm thinking about selling it.  I love the idea of my black hair metal guitar but I don't play it enough.  I do not know however how to even go about selling it off -- as I'm not sure how much its worth or what is reasonable.  It's in good condition, I think it even has the original tiny manual, and a nice hard case, though the locks for the case were lost years before I bought it.  I know that Keith originally got it from a pawn shop.  I'm not expecting a ton of money from it (though from a financial state that would be nice)- but it would be nice if it went to someone who would appreciate it.  Any one have any thoughts or experience in this matter?

Also, fwiw, I have no plans to sell off my flute.  I actually feel much more comfortable playing that.
