May. 19th, 2008 09:05 amMadrigal was good, but emotionally all over the place due to the culmination of many things, and a meeting that will have an affect and ripples for the rest of Anitra’s life. Plus on top of that we went to the Greymarche (a very grey place of the pale, so grey that only arch-druids can look upon all of it without going mad), which basically involved wandering blindfolded on tethers in the woods while spirits questioned your purpose and path. It was thought provoking at least.
The darkness was interrupted by fluffiness and light, mushrooms and politics(*). Then there was more darkness.
On an annoyance level, I fell in the woods on Friday night while walking back from the spring. It was a sudden fall off a 2-3 foot height onto both knees, and my one arm. I didn’t see the height while walking in the dark.
Happily the nice soft mud broke my fall and I wasn’t badly injured...Without the rain, it would have been a lot worse. Of course without the rain to wet the rocks, I probably wouldn’t have fallen :P
I’m going to try to get to the site early next event, and really mark the area I fell clearly, so it doesn’t happen again. I got lucky this time (stiffness, and twinges, and some other minor issues) but I’d rather not see anyone else get hurt.
It should probably be noted that the trails overall have been getting better. :)
I’m soooo not awake today.
