May. 5th, 2008 01:37 amEngame was a lot of fun, in ways I wasn't expecting...mostly nice interactions with folks. We continue to have great NPCs and PCs.
The weekend was however damp wet and raw. I spent several hours Saturday morning hooking a module that ran past the camp director's house...so walk out with npcs, make sure they're set, walk to the tavern in game, hook plot and pcs, walk back out to space but don't thug much (my pathfinder was how they stayed on the paths and didn't get lost), repeat 4-5 more times.
It was a fun little module but the lack of physical fighting and standing out in the wet didn't do anything for my core body temp, and I spent the rest of Saturday, getting back up to warm, and then re-drenching myself. Next time I will have to make sure I fight more in that sort of situation.
It's strange as I've had plenty of damper wetter weekends without an issue. The best answer I can come up with was that I wasn't wearing wool and my normal larping boots..once I got to a certain stage of not hot, I spent most of the day roleplaying and trying to get warm. Once I figured out that my very warm sleeping bag was not saving me, I gratefully left site with
pelgar for a warmer place to sleep and a very hot shower (Thank you guys!!).
Today was more crunching than anything else, with some wonderfully dramatic falls in the rain.
