Mar. 29th, 2007 07:26 pmReally bad news, from RPI tonight, about someone I used to be friends with and know.
I got this as a URL from a friend. It's a harsh way to find out, but there's no good way. Anson Tripp is apparently dead.

I feel horrible. He'd recently emailed me (in the last 2 months), after a long time of radio silence. I knew he was a bit depressed, but I guess I didn't know how badly. His marriage had broken up, and he didn't sound positive about life, but my contact was all through email. He was supposed to have a birthday party this weekend, which he canceled because he wasn't in the mood. My only response was to email him to see if he was alright. Ugh. yeah, memories of college are coming back. hanging out with Anson until 2 in the morning. Talking about the guy who did Cello Bop, who had been his instructor. The fact that he was from Amherst, lots of silly things. Davison Hall.
Ugh. I was actually really looking forward to seeing him again.
