My headspace has been really off all weekend, and I couldn't have said why, just that I was really sad and something was bothering me. I kept thinking I needed to light a candle in rememberance.
I also found myself repeatedly bringing up in conversation my friend, Rob Svensson from RPI, who passed away in a tragic caving accident 4 years ago. I was talking about him to people who didn't know him and I wasn't sure why except that he was such a wonderful guy.
I'm not good with dates, so I wasn't sure why he was on my mind. I just realized yesterday was the 4 year anniversary of his death.
Rob was really one of the nicest people, and also really wonderfully amusing people, I ever knew. He always had time to explain things to people who didn't get it right off, to talk the person scared of the hike or the cave through the experience, to wander in the outdoors.
Rest In Peace Rob. We who knew you still miss you, and the way you made everyone's life a better place.
