i had this feeling friday i should just stay home and putter this weekend; but this weekend is/was the falconridge folk festival and it comes but once a year. I didn't get a free ticket this year (like the last 2 years, thanks andy for the times before!) but I wanted to go. I decided it would be betterto head out saturday morning early, and get to the show sometime after 11 when it opened than either try to find andy and company at the festival after 8pm or pay the extra money for a few hours on friday night.

So I left saturday morning, a bit delayed a bit past 9 (maybe as late as 9:40). It should have taken me roughly 2 hours to hit the springfield area and then another hour or so to get to the exit for the event and maybe 30-40 mintues from there.

I got to the springfield area at almost 1 pm. I was not happy and frustrated with driving in constant slow moving traffic. i called andy's house spoke to his mum and found out traffic was bad out near him...so i might not get to the show until 3 or later. I didn't want to drive anymore and really didn't want to pay roughly 50 bucks to go to a great show that was half over for the day. I called up people trying to figure out what to do.

no one was home really, but i got in touch with a friend's mother and i figured out where she was...went off found her and some others. then somehow wound up hanging with a friend of one of them and some of that person's friend for a good chunk of the day. it was very odd and sureal but it seems that i am intact so all is well :)

I met up with greg from umass later and wound up crashing there, and doing random crap the next day. hope i was a decent friend to him, hard to tell when i feel bad about crashing at his place. oh well.

no folk music and as a result of my random hanging out i now have lyrics from canibal the musical stuck in my head, which also reminds me I have to figure out who i let borrow that, i know I have it written down somewhere....
