Apr. 27th, 2004 02:15 pmFirst off, happy birthday
nomadmwe!
Things of late have been a lot of up and down. I've needed help on a bunch of things, I've asked for it, and gotten some support...but the scope of what I needed or how I needed help doesn't seem to be clear. Basically I needed info X and instead got Y, which sometimes was good to know anyways.... but not what I was looking for, leaving me more informed but still without what I really needed. It's frustrating, because I know what I'm asking for and when I talk to people they seem to know what I want and suddenly I get something completely different.
Kim - "I would really like a bunny."
other person "a bunny? you mean those things that hop right?"
Kim - "yes, they're small, mammalian, and cute"
other person "oh alright"
other person turns around and procedes to pull a kangaroo out of their hat.
They then look at me startled that I don't want a kangaroo. *sigh*
Tonight I get to run some foam supplies down to medford, and work some more on garb. Wednesday is game. Thursday is prep. Friday is Madrigal. I think I have most of the garb, etc I'm going to need...but need to sort through it all and clean it etc.

http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2004/04/0426_040426_chernobyl.html Chernobyl and long term health effects
In a major study of children born in 1994 to mothers who had lived 186 miles (300 kilometers) from Chernobyl and had been exposed to radioactive fallout, researchers found never before observed "germ line" mutations: changes in the DNA of sperm and eggs.
"Genetic defects may remain hidden for several generations," Adler said. "We have to expect more [of them] in the future."
Does this seem like a comic book setup for the development of super-powers due to mutation to anyone else?
