Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

redfishiewhy is it that when I drive through CT for any length of time that it rains on me?
and by rain, I mean downpours, pretty much whenever I'm in the state for more than 20 minutes.
I suspect the clouds either like or loathe me...and since they haven't hurled lightening at me yet (*knocks on wood*), I'm going to go with the former. If I just skirt through the state it doesn't tend to happen. ;)
Other than the rain, the trip down was uneventful and I got home alright. Time takes on a diferent dimension when traveling in cars and my first real clue I was approachin NJ was that Bruce Springsteen's "Merry Christmas" song started to be played on the radio...over and over again...I could tell I was in Jersey when other Springsteen songs started to appear en mass on the radio. :) They don't play him nearly as much north of here, but it's one of those prerequisites to live in the state...you must be indoctrinated in the ways of Springsteen or to a lesser extent Bon Jovi.
I guess I was actually paying attention to the christmas music on the way down, as I'd somehow managed to avoid most of it prior to that....and wow, they've butchered some classics this year.
