Somehow the elections went from being a long time away to being tomorrow.

For the past week, I've gotten on average 4 calls a day after work from polling groups or from poltical parties urging me to vote for their candidate. New Hampshire must be a swing state and somehow the candidates got my name. I have no idea how the election will fall out. But at least after tomorrow, I will stop getting so many annoying phone calls. :)

EDIT: 2 phone calls already today by 12:30 pm. One of them was from my "union" which I haven't belonged to in 2 years.

Today is the first day of Nanowrimo! and I suspect that I will not write a thing today as I have too much to do. The weekend was supper busy and now I must prep for the coming winter. Hopefully I can bust into a story tomorrow. My general characters and a bit of an outline is worked out but I'm not 100% sure where it's going to go. Setting is vaguelly fantasy-ish but with some modern elements.

Tonight- purging the kitchen for a local food drive; Madrigal PEL (which I can't believe I haven't written yet), sealing some of the windows for winter, and other random goodness.

Okay, for some reason the name amuses me.

GAHH! There's a bee in my bedroom...it seems to be a yellow-jacket? It's just sitting calmly on my wall and I don't know where it came from. There are no open windows/doors in my apartment.

I found a dead one in my bed a month ago and 2 others in my living room....so I assume there's a hive on my building somewhere near either my patio door or near one of my windows...but how do I find it? Aren't they supposed to be hibernating by now? Any advice would be appreciated as I'd prefer not to get stung..especially in my sleep.

EDIT: Yep, it's a yellow jacket. Their stingers don't come out and apparently the males get more aggressive this time of year. Great... Now, if I can just get it out of my bedroom.
