last night was supposed to be the night of getting stuff done....instead it turned into the night of many and various phone calls from people far and near and me playing a game of hunt the fabric. The fabric in my back bedroom appears to have developed sentience and is playing some odd variant of hide and seek with me, for which only it seems to know the rules.

I'm pretty sure there's something in the rules about lying about innocently and pretending to be other fabric which was already thoroughly examined, and extra points given for ingenous hiding places. It's most vexing and on some level amusing at the same time.

Most of the fabric I was looking for was found (Huzzah!) and put in its proper place [including on the kitchen floor to be cut up to make garments]. Hmmm...actually, on second thought, maybe my fabric may not be playing hide and seek with me, so much as it's running for its life in its own fabricy way, attempting not to be cut up and made into poofy shirts, gwazhee coats, cotarherdies, and the like. That makes the entire process of making garb seem much more grim, somehow. yeep.

Also, I still have not been able to find my 8 or so yards of dark green linen that I got from fabric-store.com a couple of years ago.

In any event, very tiring night all the way around...but good seems to be coming from it.
