tis almost fall!
Sep. 21st, 2004 12:16 pmHappy Mabon (a bit early)!
It's actually feeling cooler at night and the wind is whipping by outside and I've noticed the leaves ar starting to change. This has gotten me thinking about the Fall and the Winter and what I need to get done before both really hit.
The last few days have been days for getting stuff done for my car and napping. I now have new car mats and scratch paint on order for my car, have rain-x'd my car windshield, and finally got around to getting an e-z pass transponder. This plus the new tires I bought just before Pennsic means my car should be in decent shape before winter hits. hurrah! It's actually really neat to tick things off that list.
I've also started thinking about christmas already (yes I know this is a sickness), but I like to put a good deal of thought into gifts and a loathe the Mall after Thanksgiving. There's too much commercialism and too much pressure to buy items just to have a gift rather than to get something someone will appreciate after a certain point in the year. Besides if I start vaguelly looking now, it means I can space out the $ for presents over a longer period of time and I might *actually* find something my parents want. It also gives me time to make things if I want to. Most of my friends will probably be getting cookies this year, as soon as I figure out what sort of cookies I feel like making (chocolate chip, mexican chocolate cherry drops, gingerbread, etc.) so that can wait for awhile. Anyone with cookie suggestions/recipes feel free to email me.
On a completely unrelated note, Does anyone have some decent budgetting software or an Excel spreadsheet they can recommend?
I consolidated the last of my debt this week, and need to re-do my budget.
