I should not be allowed into Craft stores, particularly the Michael's in Nashua. The one near me sucks, and has a depressingly small inventory, but last night I stopped in at the much bigger better one near Janie's after I got out from my massage appointment. Apparently I haven't been feeding my creative craft need enough lately as I found numerous projects to work on while I was in the store. I wound up leaving with:
-Items I needed to make props for Madrigal (what I went in there for)
-Beads (I used to do a decent amount of jewelry making and just haven't picked it up in a few years)
-A watch face to make a beaded watch bracelet out of so that I have something more in period/appropriate to wear for Atlas and not have it be too nice to beat up a bit
-Paints for pottery work
-More paint
-Some soap making items (This was for glycerin based soap though I have made the stuff from scratch before with Lye).
I at least have yet to break down and buy the supplies I need for candle work bead making (aka melting glass with a small blow torch to make beads, etc), which while it's a LOT of fun is an expensive hobby to start.
Just found out I don't need to go anywhere tonight...so I get to stay home and do prep work for the weekend. :)
