I went to the chiropractor yesterday evening. Most of the day my headache had been pretty light but told him all about my most recent headaches and he winced. He said I could have some sort of nerve impingement in my neck, then proceeded to check my neck and it was all out of alignment. (As he was checking my neck I could tell it was out of alignment as well, and it's been crackling up a storm lately).

He reset it...every little bit in my neck went crunchy crunchy crunchy, the blood flow in my head changed, and I felt a bit better. My back is still stiff and so is my neck but the headache has not yet resurfaced today, so that's a win.

I get to go back a few more times to have more done. It seems like I have to go the chiropractor every few months. Happily my insurance pays for it outside of my $15 co-pay.

I did a whole bunch of other stuff afterwards...and even stopped and picked up some stuff for my place. I'm in the middle of a bit of redecorating. Nothing massive but enough so that the place feels more comfortable.

Warning: this could be a trigger for some people. Don't look at this if you can't deal with scummy defense lawyers and graphic details of rape.

I think I'm going to be sick. I really don't want to believe in the evil in this world.

i think this may be the reason why people hate lawyers.

ran out early for lunch. I came out of a store to see a car with its front bumper pretty much off the car. Wondered where I had parked. Then I noticed it was a Nissan Altima with the fender almost completely off. Then I noticed it was my car.

Everything from the grill and below (fender-wsie) was barely hanging from my car on one side and otherwise competely off. Happily at least the 2 kids who hit it were about to leave a note and someone else witnessed it. The stuck around until the police were called...gave a report, called my insurance, got the car towed to the garage, got a rental from Enterprise, went back to the garage, got my stuff from my car, called my insurance again, and drove back to work. It's going to take a few days for the adjuster to come out and look at the car and a few more days for repairs.

The car of the person who hit it was virtually undamaged, a small scratch in the front bumper was all. they were actualy pretty nice people.

but yeah...3 more hours of work to make up and probably well over a $1000 damage to my car. at least it wasn't a hit and run. at least we both have insurance.
