Made it through my first day of work

I was introduced to pretty much all the engineers, the managment, and the costing people. I got toured around, learned some stuff about Control Element Drives and was kept busy until 12 or so with paperwork. Then I wound up reading manuals for the rest of the day. Typical first day of work stuff.

On other notes, there isn't a good mall near here and I find I really miss being in a college town. However in the one nearhere I saw a guy and girl who were clearly confused. I think they *wanted* to be goths...but they seemed just off the mark. Like they were trying but didn't have the resources or quite get it. I could be mistaken though, only caught a quick look.

2nd day o' work

much improved from yesterday...had food with me today, and we had a group lunch meeting. yeah! I also realized I had learned something the day before. I met one person who went on about experience being better than education, but hey, it's my first job...how am i going to get experience if i don't have a job?

anyways...not much new..can't get my ethernet card (new) to work properly. oh well...le grrrrr....le arghhhh

I also stopped by the Little Shop of Pets in route to home and played with puppies for half an hour. puppies make everything better. okay maybe not blood spilling gut wounds, but mild sadness, yeah, puppies are right up there.
