redfishieI've been incredibly busy the last few days. I got my thesis with yet another group of revisions into the graduate school and I've been trying to clean my room as well. I went to Great Barrington on Thursday night to see The Nields at Club Helsinki with Andy (who is a great friend). The Nields are a great band. I first saw them at the Falcon Ridge Folk festival. They have incredible harmonies and a cute stage act.
The concert was cool. I made Andy try a Cosmopolitian :). I wound up crashing at his place due to the time we got out and the weather. This left me in Great Barrington in the morning. I had nowhere in particular that I *had* to be, since I had just gotten my thesis in. I went wandering in my car, driving up and down the hills, looking at the architecture of the houses and the land. I eventually wound up in Pittsfield, so I headed to Affordable Fabrics, a great fabric store where everything is $2.99/yd. This was good. I bought fabric to make a 10-gore greenland gown. *happy dance*
okay i'm over it now.
In any event, I've been running around like crazy, trying to get errands done. Last night when I got home, I sat and stared at the wall for an hour. I was too tired to do anything else, including making myself more comfortable. By the way, the wall is orange, and really fascinating because it's old and not completely smooth.
