I came into work this morning and was immediately bothered (while through the door) about some things that need to be done - but in a good way. Then I went on to help someone else do some coding and checked in with my boss - "you okay with me?" positive answer. so no problems there. I was worried about work lately; not due to lack of ability but the fact that I had the sudden realization how much more I need to know if one of my team leads does leave in the next 2 years, which is the current plan.

We're doing the cubicle shuffle here and the guy three moves ahead of me in my chain took his cabinets with him when he moved. Now all of the cubicles have metal hanging
cabinets (except the one this guy moved into) so he just took his. This is causing a cascading effect where cabinets are being shuffled about, rather than not moving cabinets except for the last set. You'd think engineers would have more logic. I managed to convice the guy after the intial guy to just take my cabinets and the guy directly ahead of me to leave his so that there'd be slightly less cabinet shuffling.

I haven't moved yet...but my office is already showing the effects of the impending move as it has become a mess of bits of paperwork, and blueprints. It's all rather silly as I think I'm moving maybe 50 feet at most.

I'm sure this is a bit of a waste of time....i wonder if they'll give me a charge number for moving.
