redfishieMondays are actually usually one of my quietest days of the week at work. However, today was one of those days where I was barely in my seat all day and away from my cubicle much of the day. I must have walked a few miles before the day was out. Not a mean feat. It did however take me until 4:45 to get the paperwork I normally do by 12noon at the latest on Mondays done. I still have other paperwork to do in the morning that I usually finish before lunch on mondays. joys!
I also got email today confirming there is an adult field hockey league in this area. Tonight was the first game and if I went to the 7:30 game I could join. Unfortuantely the guy who gave me this information seemed to assume since he was from the arena where it usually was, that I would automatically know it was at this arena. I thought this was the case but it was not obvious to me. It was also not obvious to me when they played (every monday, every other day, the weekend etc.). If they were doing weekend games, I probably didn't want to join because of other scheduling conflicts. I wrote him back to try and determine the timing of games and where they were all held. He got back to me a bit after 5 with it's at the arena on monday nights as per below. The as per below told me they were meeting tonight and who to talk to; but I wouldn't have assumed it was every monday night nor at the arena. The website for the organization running this is so crowded with information (mostly on youth camps) that I couldn't find this gem for myself. Unfortunately because he wrote me a bit after 5, I didn't get it right off and fell asleep rather than going....I don't know if I can still join a team. I'm so busy with fencing right now, may not want to in some ways. In other ways, It would probably be good for me socially. I'll see if he writes me back tomorrow. I wrote him to say that wasn't clear to me and that something had kept me from going tonight.
