the weekend was great, if pretty exhausting. Friday night I headed down to dougansf's and we watched eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. It was actually a pretty good movie, since it reigned in jim carey and actually gave a direction for his over-the-top tendencies and some of the special effects were damn cool.

Saturday was Jim and Jessie's wedding in RI, which was beautiful and touching. It was also followed by a bride vs. the groom larp grand melee. The bride took the first bout, and the groom took the second despite strong resistance. The photographer who was a friend of Jessi's took this great shot of her after she realized she'd been killed in the first round. Awesome time...very glad I got to go. I really don't think that it could have gone off better or could have benn better suited to the couple involved.

Sunday was another wedding...this one was of my two fraternity little brothers, and it was a bit more formal/traditional. It was a jewish wedding and I always find the differences between religious ceremonies fascinating. I love the fact that they don't let you take pictures during the actual ceremony. I'm discovering more and more how much of those religous traditions I soaked up through osmosis as a child in northern NJ... It was great to see them again but by that point I was a bit wiped out on the whole wedding thing.
