Big Dig Leaks more frequent than previously thought
I don't think anyone is really surprised by this. At least it isn't as smarmy as when they had an exhibit about it and how great it was at the Museum of Science a few years ago. That was so pro-Big Dig that I and the friends with me couldn't walk through the whole exhibit without feeling sick. There's this fine line between entertainment/commercialism/teaching that museums, especially science museums have to tow.
entertainment=people wanting to come
commercialism=funding and getting money to do this
teaching = most of the point of a museum
A lot of museums fall under pressure due to funding to cave to comercial pressures. It's sad really. I've seen it first hand and seen employees fight back against it and lose.
