(no subject)

went to game late tonight...also made some props. I like making things, doing stuff with my hands...us si rewarding. My work is all telling other people to make things, never making things on my own. I enjoy hands-on stuff...it's fun. It's not really all about the CP for me but the joy of doing....

gah!

I have just spent the last hour and a half looking for my missing wallet. We had an all employee meeting today so there was a perfect opportunity for someone to lift it...since no one was at there desks, and I left it in my bag in my cubicle.

I had it this morning, when I took money out for the roach coach, and put it back in my bag.

I went home mid-day, came back to work and left a bit early to get to my physical therapist. I was going to grab my wallet to fill the car up with gas on the way to my physical therapist when I discovered it was missing (along with my checkbook).

I realized no wallet, no gas for car, no way to drive car to event. No wallet, no lisence...can't drive. Have stuff for other people. Need to get to event. Need to get stuff to the event. Car is almost out of gas and I have $7 as all of my worldly money.

Also I realized how much of my identity is tied up in those little plastic cards, and even though there are limits on the amount you can legally be liable under credit card theft rules....proving that is sometimes a hard thing to do. So I was looking at the possiblity of having to spend the night calling companies, canceling cards, and not having enough gas to go anywhere even if I did have my liscence. Plus I hate letting people down by not bringing stuff some place I said I woudl be.


I went by my PT and told them what was happening, home and looked for it, back to work, called my PT and cancelled my appointment (which they had moved to a bit later), stopped at the office of my apartment complex, went and retrieved trash I threw in the dumpster at my complex at lunch and looked through this, talked to maintenance....etc. I tried calling around to people to see if they had any suggestions so at least the stuff I had could get to the event.

Happily, it has been found at my apartment complex but I have had my drama/excitement for the day.

The only real downside is that I'm now tired and I missed my physical therapy session today.
