Sep. 30th, 2003 11:29 amOn Friday, I had gotten a call from my doctor's office, telling me that my throat culture results weren't back. I took my meds, felt better and did some stuff over the weekend.
i finally got another call today telling me, I did/do in fact have strep. I shouldn't have been contagious since Thursday so no worries there but I do wonder where I got it...and anyone who was around me prior to that, I apologize if I got you
sick. I'm on penicillin which is a good thing (TM) but I'm not feeling at 100% today and I think I may go home early after my afternoon meeting. I hate being sick. blah. I also hate the fact that I'm not good at sitting still when sick and hence when I get to 90% better, tend to overdue things and get ill again. That's most of the reason I'm contemplating a post-lunch retreat to sleepy time. I want to kick this thing fully in the bud. now.
The other odd thing is I *never* had strep as a kid. It wasn't until I hit my 20s and moved to NH that I got it. not fun.
