wow interesting night
Nov. 6th, 2002 09:43 pmwent to Barnes & Nobel after work to see if they had an EIT book, and as I was walking through the parking lot noticed a car with RPI paraphenalia in the back windshield. Looking at it figured it had to be someone who went within my era or later or had a kid at the school (though this seemed unlikely)
I went into the store and as I was walking in saw someone who lo9oked familair. At first I thought they were someone from the local SCA group who I didn't know well and then I realized that wasn't it. We both stopped. They said, did you go to RPI and I said You used to date one of my friends. We wound up chatting for about 3 hours and going out to dinner. Turns out that we'd been emailing each other too....they'd written to ask about the local SCA and I'd responded. We'd just never really known each other's last name. small world. anyone they'll be coming fencing with me tuesday.
