Went into Northampton and painted pottery. :)
The I went and saw moulin rouge with andy. it was the last day it was playing at the pleasent street theatre. it was down in the small theatre and just wonderful, they changed signs for the flicks as we left.
one of the greatest things about andy is that he doesn't criticize...also he likes chick flicks, pottery and clothes. he says he can never dye his hair or anything or people will assume he's gay.
had a great night. andy found he book i was looking for and brought it and he lent me a new cd..and gave me an extra copy of something he had. I had given him an extra Beck cd that I had had last week. His birthday is Saturday....i hope I remember to send him a card at least.

this morning some strange lady came to our door and rang the bell in one of those long pushes, of hurry up and come down here i'm waiting. I think you can tell a lot about someone's patience level by the way they ring doorbells. Some people push once then twice and others wait awhile before ringing again. This ring was long and al at once...impatient.

I came downstairs in my PJs to see who it was and didn't recognize this lady...I opened the door to see what/ who she wanted to speak to. She had mussy hair and a western europeanish accent that could just as easily been from some other parts unknown, a yellow shirt, unremarkable shorts, glasses and stood about 5'4". She wanted to see one of the rooms for rent. I told her she would have to talk to our landlord. She then wanted to still come in and look around and I again told her she would have to speak to our landlord. (I'm not going to show a complete stranger around my house..especially when it is NOT my job and I have other things to do. I will be polite to them but that's about it) .I repeated the fatc she needed to talk to the landlord about 5 times. Finally, she went away.

Now this isn't a huge event. We have a sign on our lawn that says "Room for Rent" and our landlord's phone number. Fine. I understand needing to advertise, etc. It is however, irritating when the person who rings the doorbell 1)gets offended that you will not show them a room right this instant and 2) it happens at all hours of the day 3) Does not speak clear english. 4)Has really bad breathe.

When i first moved into my current house, there was a housing shortage in Amherst..and despite the fact that our house and the one next store (also owned by the landlord) was full...it was left up and we had callers at all hours of the days. It began to seriously interfere with our lives. I'm hoping that this doesn't happen again.
