redfishiecame home today after the war of the roses. as I was driving down the pike, a group of geese walked out into the road right in front of my car. this being on the pike I was going somewhere in the neighborhood of 60mph. I swerved to get around them and hit on the brakes too...probably not the best idea...but I wasn't sure how much impact a goose would have on a windshield. Stopped the car alright and was fine.
was a bit shaken up.
drove to the lee exit and chilled for a bit.
turns out there was a bad accident not far up the road from this sometime in the next 10 or 20 minutes, and traffic backed up badly. I probably would have seen it or been involved in it if not for the geese.
what at first was an annoyance turned out to be a blessing. that's just neat.
