About a month or so ago, I bought one of those Airbake cookie sheets, since I couldn't find my old cookie sheets. I later realized they must be in my storage shed and decided to give the newer sheet away with some cookie recipes and ingredients for xmas. Yesterday i came home from wandering with Andy to discover that my housemate and her friends had unwrapped it, and used it as a pot cover (not that we don't have these). Okay. Fine. no really it's fine....

That night Igor asked about baking on it and then I realized they hadn't even bothered to clean it off and there were still weird brown juices on it. Now I would never unwrap something that was new and use it without asking...but if I did that I'd at least clean it up. I think it irritates me so much, besides the present aspect, that I think new pans and dishes are just neat. Almost sensual...you know they don't have bangs and dents in them. They've never had food left on them for days on end. there's no build up of grease. They're lovely. They're wonderful to cook on. They're first rate. To find that someone had used my sheet was annoying. to find they had not even bothered to clean it up was more so. I was so irritated I found I couldn't explain it clearly and just gave up since he hadn't been involved. It's just inconsiterate and rude.

grrrrrrr....

besides this the mini-fridge was moved in...and somehow during this process of moving stuff a box of my stuff was moved and I had resting on it a new power supply in a bag (near the door so next time I was going out toward the Holyoke Mall I would remember to grab it). I needed to return it. The bag is gone and so is the receipt. When I get home I will have to ask if they've seen it. Otherwise I'm out a good amount of $. I wonder if anyone needs a power supply for their computer.
