My sewing machine is not working right. It has one of those stupid LCD displays, which apparently thinks no matter what I do that I'm in "bobbin thread winding" mode. Now I can work around this, and I don't want to complain too much since it was a gift awhile back and I haven't used it much - but it's darned annoying when you can't tell what stitch you're selecting and can't get error messages. I suspect that the LCD is burned out, which basically sucks. It just adds one more layer of complication.

I also made the mistake of taking out the bobbin, and then remembered that I never did get the knack for threading the lower portion of this machine. In fact, after I had taken it out I remember several rather bad incidents with bobbins. Let's just say I don't like the way the holder works. So I am basically frustrated at this moment by this machine. I want my mom's Singer to play with. This one is a Brother XL-3030. Not a top line machine but a okay little thing to work with now and again.
